Cloud Native DevOps Engineer

Location: UK wide - Hybrid

Security Clearance: Eligibility for DV clearance required

This is a delivery-focused Cloud Native DevOps Engineer opportunity within a large-scale cloud and custom applications environment supporting highly secure, mission-critical systems. The role sits in a senior engineering delivery context rather than pure support, with responsibility for building resilient AWS infrastructure, improving automation maturity, and enabling secure software delivery at scale.

The brief will suit someone comfortable operating across infrastructure engineering, platform automation, CI/CD, container platforms, and observability, while working closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders in Agile delivery settings.

The employer is a major global technology and transformation organisation with significant scale, deep engineering capability, and an established presence across complex enterprise and public sector programmes. The wider environment offers access to large client estates, long-term transformation work, and structured professional development within a mature delivery organisation.

  • Design, build, and manage secure AWS environments with a strong focus on automation, scalability, and resilience
  • Monitor system health, performance, and security using modern observability and logging tooling
  • Work in Agile delivery teams, engaging stakeholders to translate requirements into iterative platform and infrastructure improvements

Proven experience delivering AWS cloud infrastructure engineering in secure or highly regulated environments:

  • Practical experience building CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD
  • Strong container and orchestration knowledge across Docker and Kubernetes, supported by scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Good understanding of cloud networking, monitoring, logging, and security models including Zero Trust principles

The package supports hybrid working, ongoing learning and certification, and access to large-scale programmes with strong technical breadth. This is a strong platform for someone looking to deepen cloud engineering capability in complex, security-led environments.

Please apply with an up-to-date CV that clearly reflects relevant AWS, DevOps, IaC, container, and secure delivery experience aligned to the role requirements.
