About the Role
An opportunity has opened for a Security Consultant to join a major technology and digital transformation consultancy delivering secure, large-scale programmes across Public Sector, Defence, Healthcare, and Central Government environments.
This role would suit someone with experience in cybersecurity consulting, security engineering, cloud security, or security architecture who enjoys solving complex security challenges within highly regulated environments. You’ll work closely with architects, engineers, delivery teams, and senior stakeholders to help shape secure digital services, advise on risk, and embed security across major transformation programmes. Projects can range from national-scale citizen services and healthcare platforms through to cloud transformations, enterprise systems, and secure government infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the design of secure cloud and enterprise architectures
- Advising delivery teams on security best practice and risk mitigation
- Contributing to security strategy across complex transformation programmes
- Identifying vulnerabilities within systems and solution designs
- Supporting threat modelling and secure design activities
- Working across areas such as IAM/IDAM, PAM, SSO, network security, encryption, and cloud security
- Advising clients on standards and frameworks including ISO27001, NIST, GDPR, and PCI-DSS
- Communicating security risks and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Researching emerging threats and innovative security approaches
What We’re Looking For
- Cybersecurity consulting or security engineering experience
- Understanding of security architecture and secure solution design
- Experience within cloud, infrastructure, network, or application security
- Knowledge of risk management and security frameworks
- Exposure to IAM, IDAM, PAM, SSO, encryption, or Zero Trust principles
- Understanding of threat modelling methodologies
- Strong stakeholder communication skills
- Experience within consulting, public sector, defence, or regulated environments is beneficial
- CISSP, SABSA, or similar certifications are advantageous
- Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC) is required
