We’re working with a leading technology consulting firm that is expanding its Data & AI practice and is looking to appoint a senior, client-facing Data & AI Architect. This is not a hands-on engineering role. It’s built for a consulting leader who sits comfortably between strategy, architecture, sales shaping, and delivery leadership — someone trusted by C-suite stakeholders and capable of shaping large-scale AI and data programmes end to end.
The Opportunity
You’ll lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale Data & AI and Agentic AI solutions on the Microsoft ecosystem. From early-stage client conversations and deal shaping, through to architectural governance and mentoring delivery teams, your focus will be on creating measurable business impact at scale.
This role suits someone who enjoys:
- Owning the technical vision for complex programmes
- Influencing clients at exec level
- Shaping propositions and winning work
- Acting as a trusted advisor, not just a solution designer
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead architecture across one or more client engagements, setting direction for large-scale Data & AI platforms
- Shape deals and propositions, contributing to pre-sales, estimates, commercials, and solution design
- Translate complex AI and data concepts into clear, value-led narratives for senior business stakeholders
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to architects, engineers, and consultants
- Define roadmaps and design artefacts for enterprise programmes involving AI at scale
- Partner with sales and leadership teams on origination, qualification, and GTM strategy
- Influence and evolve Data & AI best practices, accelerators, and internal IP
What They’re Looking For
This is a consulting-first architect, not a pure technologist. You’ll likely have:
- Strong experience as a Data / AI / Solution Architect within a consulting or professional services environment
- Excellent working knowledge of GenAI / Agentic AI, Microsoft Fabric, and/or Databricks
- Proven experience designing large-scale data platforms (Lakehouse, Data Mesh, Cloud Analytics, Fabric, etc.)
- Comfort operating in pre-sales and client-facing leadership roles
- Ability to present architecture and strategy to senior and C-level stakeholders
- Deep understanding of modern analytics: structured & unstructured data, AI/ML, streaming, IoT
- Experience working within a Microsoft partner ecosystem
Why This Role Stands Out
- Senior-level influence across strategy, architecture, and growth
- Exposure to complex, enterprise AI transformations
- Strong emphasis on thought leadership, not just delivery
- Clear pathway for continued progression within a growing Data & AI practice
