An opportunity has opened for a DevOps Engineer to join a leading cyber and digital consultancy delivering secure, mission-critical programmes across the UK defence and national security space.
This role is particularly well suited to somebody around 2-3 years into their DevOps, Platform or Cloud Engineering career who is looking to strengthen their technical skills within a highly collaborative engineering environment.
About the Role
You’ll join multidisciplinary engineering teams delivering modern cloud and infrastructure solutions across a variety of complex government and defence projects. The environment offers strong technical exposure across DevOps, Infrastructure, SRE and cloud engineering, making it an excellent opportunity for somebody wanting to broaden their experience while working alongside highly capable engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting cloud and infrastructure engineering activities across secure environments
- Working with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Supporting CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling
- Working across Azure or GCP cloud environments
- Writing scripts using Bash, Shell or Python
- Collaborating closely with engineers across DevOps, Infrastructure and SRE teams
- Contributing within Agile delivery environments such as Scrum or Kanban
Key Skills & Experience
- Around 2-3 years experience within DevOps, Cloud, Infrastructure or Platform Engineering
- Exposure to Azure or GCP cloud platforms
- Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation or similar IaC tooling
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation
- Scripting experience using Bash, Shell or Python
- Exposure to Linux environments
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn new technologies
Desirable Experience
- Any exposure to Docker or Kubernetes
- Ansible, Puppet or Chef
- Networking, routing or firewall concepts
- SRE or container platform exposure
