In this role, you will work closely with multidisciplinary project teams to define business needs, shape requirements, and support delivery across UK Central Government and public sector initiatives. You will play a key role in leading the requirements lifecycle, ensuring clarity, alignment, and traceability from discovery through delivery. This position is ideal for a Business Analyst with strong analytical capability, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and proven experience within government environments. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end requirements gathering, including functional requirements, non-functional requirements (NFRs) , and acceptance criteria Conduct as-is and to-be business process mapping , identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement Manage and prioritise the Agile product backlog , collaborating with Product Owners and delivery teams Work with stakeholders to translate business needs into clear, concise user stories Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions with technical and non-technical stakeholders Use JIRA (or similar tools) to manage requirements, track progress, and support Agile ceremonies Ensure alignment with government standards, governance frameworks, and assurance processes Support risk identification, impact analysis, and change request assessment Collaborate with delivery, architecture, QA, and user research teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented correctly Produce documentation such as process flows, requirement catalogues, service specifications, and decision logs Essential Skills
