The Engineering Team Lead will provide both technical and people leadership, guiding a cross-functional team of engineers while remaining hands-on with complex technical challenges. The Engineering Team Lead will work closely with senior leadership to shape technical direction, deliver high-quality software, and support the continued scale of products and platforms. Key Responsibilities:- Lead the design, development and delivery of scalable software solutions
- Act as a technical authority while contributing hands-on to complex engineering work
- Mentor and manage engineers, supporting performance, development and career growth
- Drive agile delivery, sprint planning and backlog prioritisation
- Own cloud infrastructure best practices across AWS environments
- Collaborate with product and customer-facing teams to deliver value-led solutions
- Champion CI/CD, automation, security and ISO 27001-aligned engineering standards
- Significant commercial engineering experience, including time as an Engineering Team Lead or senior technical lead
- Strong background in AWS, DevOps, cloud infrastructure and modern software architecture
- Proficiency in Java and Python
- Experience leading teams within SaaS, scale-up or high-growth environments
- Solid understanding of agile delivery and stakeholder management
- Exposure to AI, automation, MLOps or agentic AI approaches
- Comfortable working flexibly to support international customers
