This range is provided by Anson McCade. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Base pay range Up to £80,000 + Package – Permanent Newcastle upon Tyne (On-site / Hybrid).
We are building something special in Newcastle and we need the very best. This isn’t a role for average engineers — we’re only interested in outstanding DevOps talent with elite academic backgrounds (Russell Group or better), proven coding ability, and the hunger to solve big problems at pace.
You’ll be part of a team that sets the standard for technical excellence in the North East, working on complex challenges with real-world impact. If you’ve got the brains, the drive, and the curiosity, this is where you’ll thrive.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing and automating infrastructure and environments at scale
- Owning and evolving CI/CD pipelines that keep delivery fast and reliable
- Building advanced monitoring, diagnostics, and automation solutions
- Working side by side with business users to deliver at pace
- Collaborating with some of the sharpest technical minds in the UK
Experience required:
- Strong coding ability in C#, Java, Python or similar
- PowerShell or equivalent scripting expertise
- CI/CD tooling (TeamCity or similar)
- Monitoring with ELK, Grafana or equivalent
- Minimum 2:1 degree in Computer Science (or related field) — ideally from a Russell Group university
Nice to have:
- Atlassian toolset (JIRA, Bitbucket)
- Static analysis tools (SonarQube)
- Cloud experience (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- VMware and SAN knowledge
