I’m working with a leading technology organisation to find an experienced Insurance Architect to join a specialist architecture team delivering technology transformation across the UK insurance and financial services market.
The Role
This is an opportunity to take ownership of architecture across major transformation programmes, working closely with senior business and technology stakeholders to turn complex requirements into practical technology solutions.
You’ll work across areas including solution architecture, applications, data, integration, cloud and emerging AI technologies, with the opportunity to develop deeper expertise in the areas that interest you most.
You’ll be involved in:
- Defining solution and technical architectures
- Developing target-state architectures and technology roadmaps
- Designing application, data and integration solutions
- Supporting cloud and digital transformation programmesExploring the use of AI and GenAI within technology change
- Working with senior stakeholders to shape technology decisions
- Producing clear architecture documentation and presentations

What we’re looking for
- 5+ years' experience across technology, architecture or related roles
- Essential: Previous client-side experience within an insurer, financial services organisation or similar end-user environment
- Experience across one or more of solution architecture, applications, data, cloud or integration
- Good understanding of data architecture, modelling, integration, governance or migration
- Experience working with complex business and technology stakeholders
- Exposure to regulated environments, ideally Insurance or Financial Services
- Experience with platforms such as Guidewire, FNZ, SS&C, Pershing, Sapiens, Duck Creek, Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics would be advantageous
- Interest in emerging technologies, particularly AI, GenAI and modern data platforms
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable working in a client-facing environment with some UK travel
Client-side experience is essential for this position. This role is not aimed at candidates whose background has been solely within technology consultancies or professional services firms.
