📍 London | Up to £94,000 + £7,000 DV Allowance + Bonus + Excellent Benefits I'm partnered with a leading organisation delivering some of the UK's most critical defence and national security programmes, and they're looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Security Architect to lead the design and delivery of secure cloud solutions at enterprise scale. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll shape secure AWS architectures, influence cloud strategy and work alongside engineering teams to embed security by design across large-scale cloud transformation programmes. With AI becoming central to future cloud capabilities, you'll play a key role in securing next-generation platforms supporting mission-critical environments. The Role Lead the design of secure AWS cloud architectures across complex enterprise environments. Define cloud security patterns, standards and best practices. Champion Security by Design throughout the software delivery lifecycle. Conduct threat modelling, risk assessments and security architecture reviews. Work closely with solution architects, engineering teams and security specialists to deliver secure cloud platforms. Drive compliance with industry standards including NIST, ISO 27001 and CIS benchmarks. Mentor engineers and act as the technical authority for AWS Cloud Security. What We're Looking For Extensive experience designing and securing AWS environments at enterprise scale. Strong knowledge of AWS security services including IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, Macie, WAF and Security Hub. Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation. Solid understanding of cloud networking, identity, encryption and Zero Trust principles. Experience performing threat modelling and cloud risk assessments. Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS and GDPR. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. AWS Security Specialty, CISSP or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.
