We are supporting a leading digital, cyber and intelligence organisation on a senior AWS Security Architect role within their National Security business. This team delivers secure technology solutions into government, national security and law enforcement environments, helping protect the UK through complex digital and cyber programmes.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to work at the intersection of AWS, cyber security, cloud migration and secure‑by‑design architecture. You will help shape secure AWS patterns, controls and processes across a large‑scale cloud adoption journey, while acting as a trusted advisor to solution architects, cyber specialists and customer security teams.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing secure AWS architectures, patterns and processes
- Applying security requirements across AWS workloads and services
- Supporting large‑scale cloud migration and cloud native projects
- Performing threat modelling and risk assessments
- Designing security controls to support compliance and prevent non‑compliance
- Advising engineering teams on secure cloud development
- Acting as an escalation point for AWS security concerns
- Improving cloud security posture through reusable guidance, documentation and patterns
Core Environment:
- CIS AWS Foundations, NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, PCI‑DSS
- Cloud migration and cloud native delivery
We’d like to see:
- Strong AWS cloud security architecture experience
- Enterprise‑scale AWS environment experience
- Deep understanding of cyber security principles
- Strong knowledge of AWS networking, IAM and security tooling
- Experience with threat modelling and risk assessment
