We are seeking an experienced Application Solution Architect to take ownership of a complex and growing supply chain application landscape within a rapidly scaling, global life-sciences organisation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in environments where architectural foundations are still being built, documentation is evolving, and enterprise standards are maturing.

You will play a central role in defining, governing, and enhancing the application architecture across ERP, planning, logistics, serialisation, quality, and data platforms. This is a hands-on architectural role with a high degree of visibility across Supply Chain, ERP, IT, and Enterprise Architecture leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, document, and maintain the end-to-end supply chain application landscape, including ERP, planning, TMS, serialisation, quality management, and real-time monitoring tools.
  • Map system boundaries, integrations, data ownership, and process flows from planning through global distribution.
  • Provide architectural guidance for ongoing changes to Oracle Cloud ERP linked to a new Transport Management System (TMS).
  • Ensure proposed system changes align with overall architecture and minimise downstream impacts.
  • Lead the creation of architecture decision records (ADRs) and solution documents for review by the organisation's architecture board.
  • Present options analyses and recommendations for new technologies and system designs.
  • Assess proposed solutions against enterprise architecture principles (e.g., cloud-first, integration standards, data governance).
  • Produce structured evaluations including pros/cons and solution recommendations.
  • Support the business case and architecture for a new temperature-management solution replacing manual processes.
  • Contribute to architecture artefacts for an enterprise-wide CMC Data Tower, ensuring supply chain processes are accurately represented.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Enterprise Architect within supply chain or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong expertise with ERP systems, ideally in a global supply chain context.
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes (planning, manufacturing, distribution, logistics, quality).
  • Demonstrated experience producing architectural artefacts for governance boards.
  • Ability to create clear architecture documentation, including application maps, data flows, and dependency diagrams.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences supply chain environments (GxP, GDP, clinical vs. commercial supply chain).
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate).
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud SCM modules.
  • Knowledge of Anaplan, TMS platforms, serialisation tools (e.g., TraceLink), artwork management solutions, or quality systems (e.g., Veeva Vault).
  • Prior experience establishing IT capabilities or architecture foundations in a growing organisation.
