A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced 3rd Line Wintel Engineer to join a secure and high-performing infrastructure team. This role focuses on advanced support, system administration, and engineering across complex Windows environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining, improving, and supporting critical infrastructure, working closely with stakeholders to deliver robust and scalable solutions. This position is ideal for someone with strong 3rd line experience looking to work in a structured, enterprise-level environment with clear progression and development opportunities. The role is predominantly site-based due to the secure nature of the work, with limited hybrid flexibility after onboarding. Candidates must be eligible for high-level security clearance.

What you need:
- Strong experience with Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022 and earlier versions)
- Advanced knowledge of virtualisation technologies (VMware ESXi, Hyper‑V)
- Experience with Active Directory and identity management
- Knowledge of SCOM, SCCM, and system monitoring tools
- Experience in server administration, system builds, and infrastructure support
- Understanding of ITIL processes, change management, and incident handling
- Familiarity with hardware platforms (IBM, HP, Dell) and enterprise environments
- Ability to assess requirements and deliver technical solutions aligned to business needs
- Knowledge of security, antivirus, and system compliance standards
