A leading global investment manager specializing in quantitative and systematic investment strategies is seeking a Quantitative Researcher with 1 to 3 years of experience. Role Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough quantitative research to discover and validate alpha opportunities in global equity markets.
- Manage the entire research lifecycle, which includes generating signals, analyzing data, developing strategies, backtesting, optimizing, and deploying strategies into production.
- Identify, evaluate, and incorporate new datasets to enhance predictive models and improve stock return forecasts.
- Oversee, maintain, and optimize live trading strategies to ensure they perform robustly in a production environment.
- Work collaboratively with researchers, traders, and engineers to refine existing models and create new systematic investment strategies.
- Evaluate strategy performance and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the firm’s research and trading framework.
Requirements
- A Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field such as Physics, Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, or a similar discipline with a strong statistical background.
- Proficient programming skills in Python, capable of developing efficient and scalable research tools.
- A solid grasp of applied statistics, linear algebra, and time series analysis.
- Experience handling large and complex datasets, including data cleaning, transformation, and analysis.
- Familiarity with financial markets and a keen interest in quantitative investing and trading strategies.
- A self-driven individual who takes initiative on projects and achieves results with minimal oversight.
- A strong team player who can effectively collaborate while also conducting independent research.
