We're supporting a leading global banking organisation on a major knowledge graph and data transformation programme. As part of a high-performing engineering team, you'll play a key role in designing, building and scaling enterprise-grade Neo4j solutions that underpin critical business and AI initiatives.
What you'll be doing:
- Designing and implementing scalable Neo4j graph database schemas.
- Translating solution architecture into robust graph engineering deliverables.
- Building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest and transform data from multiple source systems.
- Developing and optimising Cypher queries for data loading, transformation and retrieval.
- Creating APIs and integration services that expose graph data to downstream applications.
- Implementing graph data models that balance semantic accuracy with query performance.
- Supporting indexing, performance tuning and scalability of Neo4j environments.
- Driving graph quality initiatives, confidence scoring and automated data validation processes.
- Collaborating with architects, engineers and stakeholders to evolve ontology and schema frameworks.
We're looking for:
- Strong commercial experience with Neo4j in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Advanced Cypher query development and optimisation skills.
- Proven experience designing graph data models and knowledge graph solutions.
- Strong ETL/ELT engineering experience across complex data landscapes.
- Hands-on experience with APOC procedures and Neo4j administration.
- Experience building APIs and integration layers.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, governance and quality principles.
- Previous experience within financial services or other highly regulated environments is highly desirable.
