The Lighting Specification & Projects Manager will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of lighting specifications, supporting projects from initial concept through to production and contractor handover. The role combines technical expertise, client relationship management, and operational leadership, working closely with customers, the Lighting Design Team, and internal departments to ensure solutions are both deliverable and commercially viable. In addition, the role supports tender submissions and associated administrative processes, ensuring accurate documentation, timely responses, and alignment with project and customer requirements, while leading the Quotations and Bespoke LED teams to deliver high-quality outputs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Specification & Project Management: Manage lighting specifications across a range of commercial projects, support customers with technical guidance, product selection, and compliant solutions, oversee project progression from specification through to order fulfilment and delivery, coordinate contractor pack requirements, ensuring accurate and timely documentation, liaise with internal departments (sales, production, logistics) to ensure smooth project execution.
- Customer & Partner Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, contractors, and partners, act as a primary point of contact during live projects, attend customer and site meetings where required (occasional travel), provide responsive support for ongoing and evolving project requirements.
- Bespoke & Technical Solution Delivery: Support and manage bespoke lighting orders, particularly LED strip solutions, work closely with customers to interpret custom requirements and translate into deliverable solutions, ensure all bespoke requests are technically viable, commercially sound, and deliverable within required timelines.
- Bespoke LED Strip Team Leadership: Lead and manage the bespoke LED strip team, allocate workload, monitor performance, and support team development, drive continuous improvement in processes, quality, and delivery efficiency, ensure team alignment with business objectives and customer expectations.
- Cost: Support achievement of quarterly and annual sales targets through accurate specification and customer support.
- Safety: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company policies and safety procedures, follow all required PPE and safety protocols.
- People Management: Support colleagues and promote a professional, respectful working environment, manage personnel-related issues in line with company policies, build strong working relationships across all levels, including Warehouse, Accounts, Sales, and external customers, highlight issues promptly and collaborate on solutions.
- General: Work independently, managing workload and priorities effectively, review customer non-conformance reports and determine acceptance or rejection following investigation, adapt responsibilities as required to meet evolving business needs.
