This role involves contributing to the continuous improvement of quality assurance and compliance processes by supporting adherence to technical standards and keeping pace with evolving industry legislation. Working with data and data analysis and dimensional checking, you will play a part in ensuring our products consistently meet regulatory benchmarks.

Your knowledge will also be crucial in providing technical support, offering guidance on quality data requirements, and applying statistical methods to resolve challenges as they arise. You will support both local and international regulatory submissions, ensuring all documentation is accurate and timely. Managing data entry and upkeep within Product Information Management systems is an integral part of the position, as is the careful collection and verification of data to underpin compliance activities.

You will take an active role in reporting on key performance indicators related to product quality and compliance, maintaining essential certifications, and nurturing clear, productive communication both within internal teams and with our valued external suppliers.

Finally, you will lend vital assistance to our sales and account management teams, responding to their data and compliance needs to help drive customer satisfaction and bolster our reputation for excellence.

Ansell Lighting is a byword for innovation in lighting design and we have won multiple awards for our energy-efficient luminaires and industry-leading lighting control system, Octo.

Key Responsibilities of the role:

DELIVERY

  • Managing Product Data in company information to ensure data is complete and accurate.
  • Improving product quality through auditing, compliance measures, and analysis of internal data. Keeping Technical Files accurate and up to date.
  • Assist in maintaining full certification and compliance for our entire product portfolio.
  • Adhering to industry legislation in accordance with the LIA Code of Practice and our Quality Manual.
  • Implement set improvement plans to achieve these goals.
  • Keeping up to date with regulatory developments within and outside the business and evolving best practices in quality control.

COST

  • Submitting reports to various regulatory bodies and schemes.
  • Maintaining the online PIM system
  • Reporting weekly and monthly KPIs on product quality.

SAFETY

  • Contribution to the creation and maintenance of a safe working environment
  • Ensure adherence of Audit team to Health and Safety Regulations through training, communication, risk assessments and audits

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with people at all levels, ensuring regular communication with Internal Managers and other support functions.
  • Compliance – daily formal and informal contact.
  • Other Company employees – regular contact with other departments regarding compliance & data requirements.

Are you right for us?

Our Technical Data Analyst will have/be:

  • Good level of general education
  • Experience of working within a large organisation
  • Experience of working with Product Information Management systems (PIM).
  • Able to demonstrate personal success in the achievement of continuous part or process improvement activities against a clear set of objectives
  • Computer-literate, experience with MS Excel is a pre-requisite.
  • Data Entry and analysis.
  • Able to work independently as well as within a team environment
  • Able to operate confidently and communicate effectively at all levels, both verbally and in a written form
  • Professional in approach, and able to lead by example, acting with tact and diplomacy
  • A quick learner with ability to follow logic
  • Committed to learning and self-development
  • Experience of working with electrical products – preferably lighting products both retail and commercial.
  • Experience of working with external suppliers
  • Experience using project management solutions
  • Experience cross departmental in process development and project management.
  • Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems ISO14001-2015
  • Product / quality focus
  • Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities.
  • Analytical understanding in complexities of procedures and regulations
