Key Responsibilities of the Role:
DELIVERY
- Oversee a specific portion of the debt ledger for one or more companies.
- Monitor and manage debtor accounts to ensure timely payments.
- Chase overdue invoices via phone, email, and letters
- Liaise with sales to ensure smooth running of customer accounts
- Monitor credit limits
- Assist in month-end closure process
- Provide cover for colleagues as needed (Sick/Holiday)
- Implementing changes within company’s credit control system
- Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance the customer experience and drive excellence
QUALITY
- Build strong relationships with customers
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Always be polite & professional
- Assist management team with ad hoc requests
COST
- Taking responsibility for debt collection
- Updating weekly debtor report
SAFETY
- Contribution to the creation and maintenance of a safe working environment.
- Support the Operations Manager in adherence to Health and Safety Regulations at all levels regarding the accounts Office.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with people at all levels, ensuring regular communication with Credit manager
- Confident approach to debt collection in a determined but polite manner
- To provide a happy working environment and everyone is aware of their roles.
- Other Company employees – daily contact with Warehouse, returns and sales staff and managers, highlighting problems and identifying actions to solve / prevent problems.
- Customers/External Contacts – frequent- in a friendly and professional manner

- 1+ years experience within credit control function
- Experience of managing time effectively
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Computer-literate, being fully conversant with MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
