A Senior Azure Consultant works with customers to deliver cloud-based solutions. The purpose of this role is to design and deliver infrastructure and applications on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. They can provide guidance on architectural design, migration, optimization, security, and DevOps practices ensuring that it is aligned with the customer’s business goals.
What you’ll be doing…
- Perform lead technical role during design, implementation, and handover of customer centric projects.
- Provide technical insight and recommendations to customers to assist decision making.
- Accurately capture implemented solutions in an agreed documentation format.
- Support Associate Consultants with accelerator/automated deployments as needed.
- Support the transition of projects and supporting documentation to Managed Services.
- Provide mentoring and technical assistance to other consultants on the team.
- Be responsible for managing customer escalations and acting as a point of escalation ensuring projects are delivered and governed to meet Microsoft audit standards.
- Contribute to achieving Microsoft specialisations.
- Keep a keen eye on your customers and identify up and cross sell opportunities where you have existing relationships or ongoing projects or engagements.
- Promote both internal and external technology communities within the team and business and encourage participation in these where feasible.
- Leading by example in demonstrating strong work ethic and key competencies and behaviours.

- Azure platform knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Azure platform and its various services, including compute, storage, networking, and security.
- Architecture and design: Ability to design and implement complex Azure architectures that meet business and technical requirements.
- Cloud migration: Experience in migrating on-premises infrastructure and applications to Azure, and knowledge of migration tools and methodologies.
- DevOps: Familiarity with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and delivery, infrastructure as code, and automation.
- Security and compliance: Understanding of Azure security and compliance best practices, and experience in implementing security controls on Azure.
- Customer focus: Strong understanding and experience in escalation processes and managing challenging situations with customers.
- Governance and documentation: Maintaining a consistently high standard of documentation and governance.
