Overall purpose of the job: As part of the production team, manufacture product to specified standards to meet customer requirements.

Mixing

  • To follow the clearly defined work procedures for mixing.
  • To carry out clean downs in accordance with the work procedure.
  • Following full training, to operate the process control system for mixing product.

Packing

  • To follow the work procedures for packing.
  • To follow all packing instructions as dictated by the protocol.
  • Complete all relevant paperwork in relation to the product being packed.
  • To manually pack up to 42 x 25kg bags per pallet continuously throughout the shift.

Quality

  • To work within the clearly defined work procedures.
  • To follow all work instructions for the task in hand.
  • To report any defects to the line manager.

Safety

  • To carry out all duties safely and with the highest concern for others on the site.
  • To work to current Health and Safety regulations and to wear appropriate safety equipment.
  • To be aware of handling instructions for Raw Materials and of Finished Product MSDS sheets.
  • To alert the other staff when a safety issue is perceived.

Team Work

  • To be a committed member of the Manton Wood production team; and to deputise for other team members when needed.
  • To carry out any reasonable task asked of you by your line manager that is for the benefit of the business.

Skills and experience

  • Previous manual handling experience (preferred).
  • Fork truck license (preferred).
  • Good team player (essential).
  • Health and Safety conscious (essential).
  • Flexible (essential).
  • Reliable (essential).
