Job Overview The role will offer a variation in work that will include maintenance planned and reactive, projects and installations. All tasks to be performed in line within Company and legal Health and Safety procedures. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
TASK RELATED Maintenance Tasks To ensure the following tasks as required are carried out: - Day to day maintenance of all plant and machinery Perform planned preventative maintenance tasks.
Ensuring that all logs and job sheets are filled in as required.
All reported faults are logged and acted on Check sheets filled in.
Post work sheets filled in.
Breakdowns kept to a minimum.
Sourcing and stocking spare parts Ensure replacement parts are available as required, when following the planned maintenance plan.
Maintain a list of consumables and suppliers.
Breakdowns Taking instructions from the Maintenance Manager, ensure we minimize down time during plant breakdowns at Manton Wood Mill.
Planned Maintenance Following the planned maintenance schedule and after agreement with the Maintenance Manager carry out the tasks requested to minimize breakdowns and loss of production.
Modifications Carry out any modifications required and in accordance with all safety rules and regulations.
Safety To ensure all duties are carried out safely and with the highest concern for others on the site.
To work to current Health and Safety regulations and to wear appropriate safety equipment.
To be aware of handling instructions for Raw Materials and of Finished Product MSDS sheets.
To alert the other staff when a safety issue is perceived.
To undertake responsibilities in emergency response/crisis situations as required Ensure all plants are isolated before carrying out any work.
Ensure permits to work are used and followed.
Other Duties Maintain all working areas in a clean and safe condition to protect products from cross contamination from equipment.
Hold regular progress meetings with Maintenance Manager Safety Ensure compliance with the companys Quality and Environmental Management System and Health and Safety Policies.
