Main Purpose of the Job: This is a full-time hybrid role for a Global Controller at Anoto. The Global Controller will be responsible for consolidated group reporting for a publicly listed Swedish company, including review of local entity accounts and multi-currency, multi-subsidiary consolidation in compliance with IFRS. The role is flexible with regard to location with remote work in either US East Coast or Europe / UK being possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop regional accounting teams to ensure consistent policies and practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders, including Treasury, FP&A, Tax, and Compliance, to provide critical financial insights and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior management, supporting decision-making through data-driven insights.
- Direct, support, and where necessary, perform the duties of general and international accounting, multi-entity consolidation, internal and external financial reporting, budgeting and analysis, and cash management.
- Prepare and publish timely quarterly and annual financial statements and reports in compliance with reporting requirements as a publicly listed company.
- Manage the annual interim and year-end external audit (Group) and local statutory audits for required entities by acting as the first point of contact for compliance partners and auditors.
- Oversee and support statutory reporting required for subsidiaries.
- Collaborate with and support the development, implementation, and oversight of required financial systems, policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Provide timely and accurate ad hoc reporting to management team to support decision making.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or similar.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience, preferably with a publicly listed company.
- Swedish language or native speaker.
Experience:
- 10 years’ experience in a similar role in a start-up environment.
- Experience in accounting/controllership, including leadership roles in global or multi-entity organisations.
- IFRS knowledge and consolidation experience.
Skills:
- Self-starter with excellent analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- Experience with Xero or similar accounting system preferred.
- Accounting certification preferred.
