Located on the shores of Ullswater in the Lake District, The Brackenrigg Inn offers a relaxed, contemporary pub environment with local cuisine and stunning views. We are seeking a full‑time Pub Supervisor to support the Manager in overseeing day‑to‑day operations, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for guests.

Responsibilities

  • Work to exceed guest expectations by supervising the Inn in a relaxed but professional manner.
  • Support the team, taking a hands‑on approach during shifts and assisting on the floor.
  • Liaise with the Manager to successfully deliver service.
  • Support Housekeeping to help drive standards.
  • Learn all systems required to carry out duties.
  • Ensure billing is completed with a personal, grounded touch.
  • Manage all complaints and feedback to company standard, lending a sympathetic ear to any concerns.
  • Support ongoing training, development and performance of the Inn team, promoting a culture of continual professional growth.
  • Ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests, adhering to the company’s health and safety policy and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience within a similar setting (desirable).
  • Supervisory experience (desirable).
  • A minimum of Grade C (or above) in GCSE Maths and English.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Computer literate with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent multi‑tasking skills, able to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
  • Capable of guiding and motivating a team effectively.
  • Experienced in cash handling, ensuring accuracy in all transactions.
  • A responsible and reliable nature.
  • Confident in communication and decision‑making.
