We’re looking for a Senior Early Years Practitioner to join our Kids’ Zone team. We know the true power of play, indoors and out, and would rather spend our time providing quality play sessions than completing paperwork-based assessments. We are an Ofsted registered setting, within the hotel, offering supervised sessions to guests’ children as well as non-residents.

Our Senior Early Years Practitioner role:

We’re seeking a dynamic, thoughtful, and experienced Senior Early Years Practitioner with a proven NVQ Level 3 qualification in Childcare, or Ofsted-approved equivalent. The outdoors is our playground, and we know how to make the most of it, whatever the weather. We care for children aged 6 months to 12 years old and provide a babysitting service for children on request. You’ll be enthusiastic about diving into our sessions, adaptable in the moment, and focused on bringing out the very best in every activity in a location where learning and play come together seamlessly. This is a full-time position with a share of tips paid monthly.

As our Senior Early Years Practitioner you’ll be:

  • Delivering high-quality play sessions for children aged 6 months to 12 years in our Kids’ Zone, with thoughtful planning and engaging, fun, age-appropriate activities both indoors and outdoors.
  • Ensuring our Kids’ Zone meets Ofsted requirements at all times.
  • Making sure children are always safe and secure.
  • Developing a good working relationship with parents/carers and other professionals.
  • Completing daily administration tasks as needed.
  • Working a variety of day and evening shifts throughout the year, including weekends and public holidays.

Job skills & requirements:

  • NVQ level 3 qualification in childcare
  • Proven experience delivering childcare and play opportunities in a childcare setting
  • Experience of working with children and families, team members, other professionals
  • Strong communication skills
  • An energetic team player with a positive attitude and outlook
  • Ability to remain calm and considered under pressure
  • Experience of safeguarding, health and safety, behaviour management and inclusion procedures
  • Experience working in a hospitality environment (preferred)
