Our Night House Manager role: We’re looking for a Night House Manager to be responsible for the operation of the hotel, while running night audits and providing friendly and efficient reception service. You’ll be friendly, hardworking and customer-focused, and have excellent time-keeping skills that enable you to prioritise under pressure, ensuring that our guests continue to enjoy our experience first-class, flawless service. Please note, this role is contracted for 40 hours per week, four nights out of seven, and your own transport (due to limited public transport) is essential.

As our Night House Manager you’ll be:
- Overseeing and assisting in the smooth running of all guest-related issues.
- A physical presence at the front desk until all guests have returned to their rooms.
- Ensuring that the night audit is run accurately and in line with SOPs.
- Preparing the arrival cards and charge cards for the following day’s arrivals.
- Conducting regular floor and safety checks.
- Preparing and delivering any room service orders.
- Overseeing the Night Cleaners and ensuring all areas are cleaned to the required standard.
- Ensuring the internal security of the building, i.e. external doors are locked and secure, CCTV is monitored regularly.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the reception area, and the cleaning and maintenance of the open fires.
- Advising senior management of any major incidents as per the emergency contact sheet.
- Enforcing and complying with all company policies and procedures which are fundamental in maintaining effective performance, communication and business reputation.
- Providing a detailed handover to the early House Manager, including any guest related or maintenance issues.
- Supporting the management team with any relevant administration tasks as required.
Job skills and requirements:
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience of running nightly audits.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A diplomatic, cooperative nature.
- A sound knowledge of hotel integrated PMS systems.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Previous Front of House experience.
- First Aid qualification (preferred).
- Current Enhanced DBS (preferred).
- Fire warden experience (preferred).
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Commitment to customer service.
- A strong team player, with proactive enthusiasm and a positive mindset and approach.
