The role:
At our hotel, we’re looking for a team who are passionate about making every Kids’ Zone session magic, value positive lifestyle choices and excel in imagination and energy. As a member of our team, you\’ll work alongside others who prioritize our guests and support each other.

We seek dynamic individuals who understand that the lake is our playground – we know how to make the most of being so close to it, whatever the weather. You’ll thrive on teamwork, eager to get stuck in with running Kids’ Zone sessions for children. The roll is all about following ‘in the moment planning’ and encouraging ‘loose parts play.’ If you’re a likemind, with an NVQ level 3 childcare qualification and a passion for play, indoors and out, it’s you we’re looking for.

This role is for maternity cover starting in September (earlier if possible) and will on a fixed term basis for an initial nine months. This is a part time role covering weekends.

What your days could look like:

  • Providing quality play sessions for children in the Kids’ Zone aged 6 months – 12 years, through planning and organising fun, active, exciting and age-appropriate activities, both indoors and outside
  • Ensure the Kids’ Zone meets Ofsted requirements at all times
  • Make sure children are always safe and secure
  • Develop good working relationships with parents/carers and other professionals
  • Complete daily administration tasks as needed
  • Take on a mixture of day and evening shifts throughout the year, including weekends and public holidays
  • Proven experience delivering childcare and play opportunities in a childcare setting
  • Experience of working with children and families, team members, other professionals
  • An Enhanced DBS disclosure is required
  • Calm under pressure
  • Energetic team player with positive attitude and outlook
  • Experience of safeguarding, health and safety, behaviour management and inclusion procedures
  • Experience working in a hospitality environment
