The role: At our hotel, we’re looking for babysitters and early years professionals to join our Kids’ Zone team to ensure children who spend time with us have stellar experiences. As a member of our team, you'll work alongside others who prioritize our guests and support each other. We seek dynamic individuals who value positive lifestyle choices and excel at being lively and outgoing, bringing children a sense of confidence and fun, and have experience looking after children. What your days could look like:
- Make sure children are always safe and secure.
- Develop good working relationships with parents/carers and other professionals.
- Ensure the Kids’ Zone meets Ofsted requirements at all times.
- Take on a mixture of day and evening shifts throughout the year, including weekends and public holidays.
- Bring an upbeat and energetic attitude to the team.
- Ensure that the cleaning and sterilisation of all equipment used in each sitting i.e. toy boxes.
- Be responsible for ongoing professional development and undertake training as appropriate.
Job skills & requirements:
- NVQ level 2 qualification or equivalent or above in early years and childcare or babysitting certificate.
- An up-to-date paediatric first aid qualification.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and behaviour management.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure, and to use your initiative in a variety of potential situations.
- Experience working in a hospitality environment.
- Good communicator.
- Energetic team player with positive attitude and outlook.
- An Enhanced DBS disclosure will be required.
- Proven experience of delivery of childcare and play opportunities.
- Proven experience with working with birth to 15-year-olds.
- Experience of working within, children and families and other professionals.
