Overview
Maintenance Manager role at Anord Mardix. Based in Kendal or Preston. Lead the plant and equipment maintenance strategy for a complex manufacturing environment and support the company’s long-term growth plans.
Responsibilities
- Develop maintenance strategies, manage budgets, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate maintenance activities for production equipment
- Engage in performance development across the team and maintain up-to-date records of training and development activities
- Provide effective planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance to minimize losses
- Supervise maintenance staff and contractors, assign tasks, provide training and mentorship, and manage performance
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules to ensure equipment reliability and facility upkeep
- Create, monitor, and manage maintenance budgets, control expenses, and oversee procurement of parts and equipment
- Oversee and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks
- Develop relationships with external contractors and service providers for major repairs and specialised work
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, generate periodic reports, and document maintenance activities for management review
Qualifications
- Qualified with a BEng Degree, HND/HNC in an Engineering discipline
- Minimum 12 months experience in a Maintenance Management/Leadership role
- Apprentice trained in Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation and control would be advantageous
- Ability to motivate, lead, and develop a maintenance team effectively
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical fault-finding
- Ability to solve maintenance problems using site knowledge
- National B Driving License and willingness to travel across facilities in the UK
- Self-motivated with proficiency in computer and MS software
