To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Planning Manager located in Kendal. The Planning Manager will report to the Head of Supply Chain and be responsible for the tactical execution of our Planning and Purchasing goals as well as leading a professional team.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Develop and maintain demand and supply plans to ensure alignment between customer needs, material availability, and production capacity.
  • Drive cost efficiency initiatives, with a strong focus on WIP reduction, inventory optimization, and cash flow improvement.
  • Own inventory performance and SIOP/S&OP processes, ensuring accurate data, clear reporting, and achievement of monthly targets.
  • Oversee production and procurement planning, including weekly production scheduling and ensuring timely raw material availability.
  • Monitor delivery performance and supply risks, proactively adjusting plans and leading mitigation strategies for delays or constraints.
  • Lead planning excellence across the plant, including capacity planning, master resource planning, safety stock management, and supply execution processes.
  • Provide strategic insights to manufacturing leadership, enabling informed decisions on capacity, cost optimization, and long-term operational performance.
  • Lead and develop the planning team, while fostering strong cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Project Management, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Extensive experience (10+ years) across diverse Supply Chain roles, providing a well-rounded operational and strategic perspective.
  • Degree educated in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
  • Working towards or holding a professional certification in Supply Chain or Procurement (e.g., CIPS, APICS).
  • Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent, with hands-on experience in planning environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, with the ability to effectively manage data, reporting, and analysis.
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, including planning, procurement, and inventory management.
