To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a CPS Service Engineer based out of Hemel Hempstead centre but most days will be on sites in the London area.

Summary

This role is based out of our Hemel Service Centre and involves travel across the UK, with occasional work in Europe. It reports to the CPS Operations Manager and focuses on maintaining, surveying, and commissioning LV Switchgear systems. The day-to-day includes both live and isolated maintenance, thermal imaging surveys, and installation and testing of equipment, all while following strict safety and quality standards.

We're looking for someone with at least a City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation, ideally with experience in LV Switchgear or critical power systems—though full training is available for the right person. A full UK driving license and eligibility to work in the UK are essential, and we value candidates who are self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and flexible in a fast‑paced environment.

What a typical day looks like
  • Carry out routine non‑intrusive Live Maintenance and Thermal Imaging Surveys of LV Switchgear.
  • Carry out routine intrusive LV Isolated Maintenance on LV.
  • Carry out routine intrusive LV Isolated Breaker Maintenance on LV Switchgear.
  • Carry out surveys, modifications and remedial tasks on LV.
  • Delivery and Installation of LV Switchgear.
  • Interconnection/Testing/Commissioning of LV Switchgear.
  • At all times and in all respects conforming to and complying with the proper and reasonable directions and regulations of the company.
  • Be aware of the quality, health, safety and environmental (QHSE) matters related to the works in hand.
  • Ensure method statements are understood, acknowledged and followed.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team
  • Must hold a NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Electronic Engineering.
  • Experience working on LV Switchgear or similar Critical Power Equipment is preferred, however full training can be given to the right candidate.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Considered as plus: Level 1 Thermography Course.
  • Current and relevant ESC Card.
  • Experience with Thermal Imaging.
