Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum

Schedule: Monday Friday | 8-hour shifts between 7:30am 7:30pm
The Role
A leading 3 PL and distribution business in the Swindon area is looking for an experienced Transport Planner to support its day-to-day transport operation.
Youll be responsible for planning vehicle movements, coordinating drivers, ensuring customer requirements are met, and maintaining compliance across the fleet.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate daily vehicle movements and driver schedules across the UK
Ensure fleet utilisation is efficient and cost-effective
Monitor driver hours, tachograph compliance, and transport KPIs
Maintain transport records, servicing schedules, and compliance documentation
Support route optimisation to improve efficiency and service levels
Assist with fleet maintenance planning, MOTs, and defect reporting
Key Requirements
Previous experience in a Transport Planner / Transport Coordinator role
Strong understanding of driver hours, tachograph regulations, and transport compliance
Experience using Transport Management Systems (TMS)
Good organisational and communication skills
Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
Desirable:
Knowledge of O Licence compliance
Previous experience within 3 PL or multi-customer operations
