Competitive Salary

Core hours: 7:30am – 4:30pm Mon-Thurs and Fri 7:30am – 1:30pm. Travelling will be required.

The Role

This is a hands-on business development role focused on identifying and securing new fabrication and manufacturing opportunities. You will be responsible for developing new customer relationships, generating enquiries, securing quotation opportunities and converting prospects into long-term customers. Working closely with our engineering and production teams, you will play a key role in growing our customer base and increasing sales revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities within defence, marine, rail and industrial engineering sectors.
  • Research and identify target customers requiring fabrication, welding, machining and assembly services.
  • Generate and qualify leads through networking, industry events and direct customer engagement.
  • Arrange and attend customer meetings throughout the UK.
  • Build relationships with buyers, procurement teams, engineers and project managers.
  • Manage enquiries from initial contact through to quotation and order placement.
  • Maintain and develop a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Identify opportunities for repeat business and long-term partnerships.
  • Represent at customer sites, trade shows and industry events.
