The Role

As Paid Media & Social Performance Lead, you will plan, activate, optimise and report across all core performance channels - LinkedIn, Google, Meta and programmatic - turning audience insight and media investment into measurable commercial outcomes for clients. You will work side by side with strategy, creative and client teams, with the autonomy to build best practice and the platform to present directly to senior client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute and continuously optimise performance marketing campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, Instagram, LinkedIn and programmatic channels, driving traffic, conversions and revenue through paid search, display, social and retargeting.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance metrics - CTR, CPC, CPA, ROAS - running A/B tests on creative, landing pages and ad formats to lift effectiveness and sharing actionable insights through clear client reports.
  • Allocate, forecast and track marketing budgets to maximise ROI and meet KPIs, ensuring efficiency across every channel.
  • Partner with strategy, creative and client teams to develop compelling campaigns and content tailored to target audiences, advising on audience journeys, CX best practice and content activation.
  • Apply advanced audience segmentation techniques, leveraging tools such as Google Analytics, GA4, LinkedIn Audience Builder, Meta Audience Insights and CRM data to tailor campaigns precisely.
  • Stay ahead of platform updates, competitor strategies and emerging channels, experimenting with new tools to expand reach and improve performance.

What You'll Need

Essential

  • Substantial agency-side experience in performance marketing (minimum eight years) with a strong track record of driving growth and ROI through paid media.
  • Deep expertise across LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager and programmatic advertising.
  • Confident analytical skills using Google Analytics (Classic and GA4), Looker Studio and Excel to turn data into decisions.
  • Thorough understanding of the social media landscape and content strategy - both organic and paid - with the ability to adapt approach for different platforms.
  • Experience in financial services marketing, including media planning and social content strategy within a regulated environment.
  • Commercial confidence to present complex media strategies and plans to clients, winning trust and demonstrating clear added value.

Desirable

  • Hands-on experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot, Marketo or similar, plus familiarity with email platforms like Mailchimp.
  • Working knowledge of SEO principles and how they complement paid strategies.
  • Relevant platform certifications (LinkedIn, Google Ads, Facebook Blueprint) and a BA in marketing, business or a related field.
