Our client is seeking a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Operative to join a brand-new flagship PBSA (Purpose-Built Student Accommodation) development in East London, opening later this year. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a major new launch, supporting the operation of a landmark student accommodation scheme of over 1,500 beds. Working alongside the Maintenance Manager, Supervisor and wider onsite team, you will play a key role in maintaining building services, responding to maintenance issues, and ensuring residents receive a first-class living experience. Key Responsibilities: Deliver reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) across building services, plant and communal areas. Diagnose and resolve day-to-day maintenance issues across mechanical, electrical and building fabric systems. Carry out routine plant room inspections and support the operation of HVAC systems, including AHUs, FCUs and associated equipment. Respond to resident maintenance requests professionally and within agreed service levels. Complete regular building inspections, safety checks and communal area walkarounds.
