We are seeking a versatile and proactive Estate Assistant to join our small, privately owned estate. This is a unique and varied hands-on role perfect for someone who loves the outdoors, takes pride in maintaining a beautiful property, and has a genuine passion for animal welfare. You will split your time between practical estate maintenance and caring for our resident gundogs, ensuring both the grounds and the animals are looked after to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Estate & Property Maintenance: Assisting with general tasks around the estate. This includes basic maintenance, keeping estate buildings clean, tidy, and well-presented.
- Gundog & Kennel Care: Managing day-to-day kennel care and hygiene. Responsibilities include feeding, exercising, and maintaining clean, safe kennel facilities.
- Dog Training: Providing basic training reinforcement and structured exercise routines for the gundogs.
- Wildlife & Animal Care: Assisting with general welfare checks for local wildlife and animals.
- Shoot Day Support: Providing essential hands-on assistance during shooting days throughout the season.
What We Are Looking For
- A strong, demonstrable interest in animal care and outdoor work.
- A full, clean driving licence (essential for moving around the estate).
- Previous experience training or working with dogs is highly advantageous.
