Are you the right person for the job?
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a small warehouse environment
- Valid counterbalance forklift licence (essential)
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Good spoken English and a clear understanding of the English language
- PC literate, with the ability to add orders onto a portal to book goods out for couriers
- Willing to work after hours on an ad hoc basis and participate in weekend stock takes (four times per year)
- Minimum age restrictions apply
What will your role look like?
- Carrying out general warehouse duties, including picking, packing, and handling both large (ugly freight) and small items
- Manually moving goods and operating a counterbalance forklift
- Picking and packing customer orders accurately using pick sheets (non-scanner-based)
- Loading and unloading deliveries from suppliers and carriers
- Processing incoming deliveries, counting stock, and putting items away promptly
- Booking orders for collection with various carriers
- Processing customer returns efficiently and accurately
- Providing excellent customer service when handling orders directly to customers
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, and well-organised warehouse
- Ensuring all goods are handled, stored, and transported safely
- Adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures
- Working to agreed KPIs and performance targets
- Carrying out any other reasonable duties as requested by management
