Hospital Porter | Kilkenny, Ireland | Full Time | Competitive Salary Our client is a healthcare facility based in Kilkenny The Role The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting medical teams by ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of patients, medical equipment and supplies throughout the hospital. The role involves assisting with theatre preparation, maintaining cleanliness and providing a professional and supportive service to patients, visitors and staff Key Responsibilities Safely transport patients to and from various hospital departments, including operating theatres, ensuring their comfort and dignity Prepare operating rooms by ensuring instruments and supplies are sterile and available Assist with cleaning and restocking theatres following procedures Move and set up medical equipment as required Maintain clean and organised equipment storage areas Support nursing and medical staff with logistical requirements, including transporting samples and supplies Assist during emergencies, including patient evacuations and urgent requests for assistance Communicate effectively with medical teams regarding patient needs and any issues Follow hospital policies and procedures relating to infection control and health and safety Provide a friendly and supportive service to patients, families and staff Requirements Previous experience as a Hospital Porter or in a similar role is advantageous Positive attitude and willingness to learn Strong communication skills Ability to work well under pressure Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects What's In It For You Competitive salary Flexible shifts to accommodate your lifestyle Ongoing training and professional development opportunities What’s next?
