An established and highly regarded manufacturer of advanced scientific imaging systems is looking to recruit an International Technical Sales Manager to join its commercial team. The company develops and supplies innovative super-resolution microscopy solutions to leading universities, research institutes, pharmaceutical companies and life science organisations around the world.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technical or scientific sales professional with a background in microscopy, scientific instrumentation or life science equipment to take responsibility for developing international sales opportunities and supporting a global network of distributors and customers. The role is office based in Tyne and Wear when not travelling, so candidates will need to live within reasonable commuting distance or be willing to relocate.

The Role

Working as part of a small technical and commercial team, you will be responsible for developing and managing technically complex sales opportunities for advanced microscopy and imaging systems.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing direct sales opportunities with universities, research institutes, pharmaceutical companies and biotechnology organisations
  • Managing opportunities with existing distributors and customers
