Our client is a well-established engineering company that designs and supplies bespoke solutions to customers across a wide range of industries.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Sales & Customer Service Advisor to support both customers and the external sales team.

The Role

This is a varied position where no two days are the same.

You'll be the first point of contact for customers, processing enquiries and orders, preparing quotations and ensuring customers receive an exceptional level of service throughout the entire order process.

Working closely with Sales, Purchasing, Production and Stores, you'll help ensure orders are delivered accurately and on time while building strong, long-term customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Managing customer enquiries by telephone and email.
  • Preparing quotations and processing customer orders.
  • Supporting the external sales team with customer accounts.
  • Monitoring orders from receipt through to delivery.
  • Keeping customers updated on lead times and delivery schedules.
  • Liaising with Production, Purchasing and Stores to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
  • Maintaining accurate customer and order records within the ERP system.
  • Assisting with returns, customer queries and order-related issues.
  • Identifying opportunities to support additional sales where appropriate.

About You

You'll ideally have experience in an Internal Sales, Sales Support or Customer Service role within a manufacturing, engineering or other B2B environment.

You'll also have

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience preparing quotations and processing sales orders.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confidence working with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service.
