The Role
We are seeking a Group Reporting Accountant to play a pivotal role within our central finance team. This role offers exposure to senior stakeholders and the chance to contribute to high-level decision-making through accurate and timely reporting.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (UK GAAP / IFRS).
- Coordinating with subsidiary finance teams to gather and review financial information.
- Producing variance analysis and insightful commentary for management and board reports.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
- Managing external audit processes and liaising with auditors and advisors.
- Driving continuous improvement in reporting systems and processes.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a finance professional who is technically strong, detail-oriented, and proactive.
Essential:
- Fully qualified or nearly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
- Experience in group consolidation and statutory reporting.
- Knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102, and preferably IFRS.
- Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Enthusiasm for process improvement and delivering results under tight deadlines.
