The Role

We are seeking a Group Reporting Accountant to play a pivotal role within our central finance team. This role offers exposure to senior stakeholders and the chance to contribute to high-level decision-making through accurate and timely reporting.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (UK GAAP / IFRS).
  • Coordinating with subsidiary finance teams to gather and review financial information.
  • Producing variance analysis and insightful commentary for management and board reports.
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
  • Managing external audit processes and liaising with auditors and advisors.
  • Driving continuous improvement in reporting systems and processes.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a finance professional who is technically strong, detail-oriented, and proactive.

Essential:

  • Fully qualified or nearly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
  • Experience in group consolidation and statutory reporting.
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102, and preferably IFRS.
  • Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Enthusiasm for process improvement and delivering results under tight deadlines.
