The Role

This is a hands-on supervisory role where you’ll be at the heart of the factory, working closely with the Production Manager to keep operations running smoothly, efficiently, and to a high standard. You’ll be leading from the front — supporting the team, driving productivity, and ensuring quality is never compromised.

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm
  • Contract: Self-employed for the first 3 months, with a clear pathway to a permanent position

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Liaise with the Production Manager to ensure jobs are completed and dispatched on time
  • Keep production running efficiently and ensure deadlines are consistently met
  • Carry out quality checks to maintain high standards and compliance
  • Support operatives on a day-to-day basis, providing guidance and problem-solving support
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the factory team
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment
  • Conduct 1-2-1s with operatives to support performance and progression

  • Previous supervisory experience within a joinery or furniture manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience operating machinery (CNC experience advantageous)
  • Confidence using or learning computer-controlled machinery
  • A proactive attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Willingness to learn, develop, and grow within the business
  • A reliable, professional approach to work
