We are recruiting for Dunaney Care Centre. Currently we are recruiting for Registered Nurses to join our team at Dunanney Care Centre. This role is full time, day and night duty.

  • To ensure adherence to the NMC code of conduct in all areas of care & practice.
  • To ensure the well-being of all residents in maintaining the Six broad values of Privacy, Dignity, Independence, Choice, Rights, and Fulfilment.
  • To liaise with the residents' family, friends, GP, Community Nurses, specialists, pharmacists, local authorities, local councils, voluntary bodies and any other associations related to the care for the residents.
  • To take the lead in nursing, ensuring that the nursing and personal care of residents is maintained on a daily basis and in accordance with the individuals' needs, capabilities and requirements.
  • To liaise with Home Manager and/or Deputy Manager and other senior members of the management team on any issues that might arise.
  • To actively promote and encourage as much personal independence and choice as possible in the residents' daily living and activities undertaken within the home.
  • To take part in any associated training activities in order that you ascertain the skills and knowledge to carry out your role in an effective and safe manner.
  • To ensure that as much of a stimulating and attractive environment as possible is provided for the residents.
  • To put residents at the heart of all we do.

Essential Criteria:

  • Registered Nurse Qualification.
  • Evidence of ongoing continuing professional development linked to demonstrate clinical competencies.
  • 6 month post registration experience of coordinating and managing residents' care.
  • Previous experience of working with residents suffering with dementia.
  • Experience of handling clinical incidents and complaints.
  • Supervision and managerial experience.
  • Good knowledge of Health and Social Care Act 2008.
  • To undertake the duties of the job in accordance with relevant legislative requirements.
  • Understanding of professional and current issues in care for the residents.
  • Handling clinical incidents and complaints.
