I'm working with a large commercial business within the Wisbech area to recruit for their new Financial Controller. This is a pivotal role for the business requiring hands-on involvement and collaboration. I'm looking for someone who enjoys combining technical excellence with forward-thinking financial leadership. This role involves working directly with the CEO and wider business; you'll help to shape decisions through clear financial information. The role also offers huge scope for progression if you are looking to advance your career at pace. My client is proud to offer a four-day working week across the business which supports work-life balance whilst maintaining strong performance. I'm seeking someone with a supporting leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop others.
About you
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Advanced Excel skills and strong working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Comfortable working independently while thriving in a collaborative leadership team
- Calm, organised, and resilient under pressure, with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator, able to clearly explain financial data and accounting principles to non-financial audiences
- Ideally a strong working knowledge of IFRS
- Have experience managing and mentoring a small team
