Are you an experienced Marketing Manager who combines strong strategic thinking with a genuinely hands-on approach? We are working with an established and highly regarded business located just outside of Cambridge who are looking to appoint a Marketing Manager to lead its marketing function through an exciting period of growth and digital development. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and leading a small marketing team, this is a broad and influential role where you will have the opportunity to shape brand strategy, drive digital performance and introduce new ways of working across the marketing function. A key part of the role will be the effective use of AI within marketing. We are therefore looking for someone who is already actively using AI to improve research, content creation, customer insight, creative production and marketing efficiency rather than someone who has simply experimented with it.
The Role
- Develop and deliver the overall marketing and brand strategy
- Create annual marketing plans aligned with commercial and growth objectives
- Lead, mentor and develop a small marketing team
- Use AI and emerging technology to improve market research, customer insight and marketing effectiveness
- Develop AI-assisted workflows to improve productivity and reduce repetitive manual activity
- Oversee digital marketing including SEO, PPC, email, social media and website activity
- Drive e-commerce performance through content, conversion optimisation and analytics
- Develop engaging content across digital channels, campaigns, case studies and supporting materials
- Lead integrated campaigns, launches, promotions and events
- Use customer, competitor and market data to identify new commercial opportunities
- Manage external agencies, suppliers and media partners
- Work closely with Sales and other internal teams to ensure marketing activity delivers measurable commercial value
- Present marketing performance, insight and recommendations to senior leadership
What We’re Looking For
You will be an established Marketing Manager with a strong combination of strategic, digital and hands-on marketing experience. Ideally, you will bring:
- At least 5 years' experience within marketing, including management-level responsibility
- Experience leading and developing a small marketing team
- Strong digital marketing knowledge across SEO, PPC, email, social media, analytics and CMS platforms
- Practical experience using generative AI within your day-to-day marketing activity
- An understanding of how AI can support research, content, creative production and marketing workflows
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data and insight into commercial action
- Experience managing integrated marketing campaigns from concept through to delivery
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A relevant marketing, business or professional qualification
- The confidence to work directly with senior leadership while remaining comfortable getting involved in delivery
Experience within a B2B, trade, manufacturing, technical or product-led environment would be advantageous, although we are equally interested in strong marketers from other commercially focused sectors.
Why Apply?
This is not a role where you will simply inherit a marketing calendar and keep things ticking over. You will have the opportunity to influence the future direction of the marketing function, introduce new ideas and technology, develop a team and work closely with senior leadership to ensure marketing plays a central role in the continued growth of the business. For someone who enjoys combining strategy with delivery and is excited by the potential of AI and modern marketing technology, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine impact. Apply today or contact us confidentially to find out more.
