Are you a practical, hands-on individual with experience in plant operations, maintenance, agriculture, manufacturing or a similar environment? We're recruiting for a Plant Operative to join a growing renewable energy operation, supporting the safe and efficient running of a modern processing facility. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a sector that plays a key role in sustainable energy production, offering long-term career prospects and the chance to develop valuable technical skills.

Plant Operative Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day operation of the processing plant, ensuring maximum efficiency and uptime.
  • Carry out routine inspections, preventative maintenance and basic repairs on plant equipment.
  • Monitor plant performance using control systems and respond to operational issues or alarms.
  • Assist with material handling, loading activities and process monitoring.
  • Complete operational records, inspections and reports while maintaining high standards of health and safety.

Skills & Experience Required as a Plant Operative:

  • Previous experience within a plant, production, agricultural, industrial, manufacturing or maintenance environment.
  • Mechanical or electrical knowledge would be highly advantageous.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of tasks.
  • Good IT skills and the ability to interpret operational data.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to work a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, including participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
