Are you a senior finance professional who is looking for a part-time position working 2-3 days a week? I’m pleased to be working with a client in the Peterborough area on a unique role for the not-for-profit sector and am looking for an experienced senior finance professional to provide strategic financial leadership on a part-time basis (approximately 2 days per week).
The role
- Working closely with senior leadership and a small team, you will play a key role in shaping financial strategy, supporting decision-making, and ensuring strong financial governance.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to long-term strategic planning, including development of a 5-year financial plan
- Provide financial insight to support organisational performance and sustainability
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and governance frameworks
- Support audit processes and stakeholder reporting
- Strengthen financial systems, controls, and processes
- Partner with leadership to drive effective financial decision-making
Key Requirements
- Proven experience at Head of Finance or Financial Controller level
- Strong strategic and commercial acumen
- Experience in SMEs, not-for-profit, or similarly complex environments
- Ability to operate effectively in a part-time, high-impact role
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Working Pattern
- Approximately 2 days per week
- Mix of operational finance and strategic leadership responsibilities
Salary £60,000 - £65,000 FTE
