Global Payroll Advisor (Temporary)
The Opportunity
We're working with a well-established global organisation that is looking for an experienced Global Payroll Advisor to join their People Services team on a temporary basis, with the potential for the role to become permanent.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, international environment where accuracy, compliance and customer service are key.
You'll play an important role in ensuring employees across multiple countries are paid accurately and on time while supporting payroll projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
The Role of Global Payroll advisor
As Global Payroll Advisor, your responsibilities will include
- Processing and validating monthly UK and international payrolls alongside external payroll providers.
- Completing payroll reconciliations, calculations and month-end checks to ensure accuracy.
- Monitoring payroll changes within the HR system and ensuring these are reflected correctly.
- Acting as the first point of contact for payroll queries from employees and internal stakeholders.
- Managing payroll inboxes and responding to service requests within agreed timescales.
- Supporting year-end payroll activities and statutory reporting requirements.
- Assisting with payroll audits and ensuring ongoing compliance with payroll legislation.
- Supporting payroll system testing, upgrades and payroll transition projects.
- Building strong relationships across HR, Finance and external payroll providers to deliver an exceptional payroll service.
About You
We're looking for someone who has
- Previous experience processing both UK and international payrolls.
- Experience working with outsourced payroll providers.
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, tax, National Insurance and statutory reporting.
- Experience using payroll or HR systems such as SAP Success Factors or similar.
- Excellent analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and meet strict payroll deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to build relationships across a global business.
It would also be advantageous if you have
- Experience supporting payroll audits.
- Experience with payroll system testing or implementations.
- A payroll qualification such as CIPP (or equivalent).
- Experience managing payrolls across multiple countries or time zones.
