About the Role
We’re working with an established business looking to bring in an IT Manager to take ownership of and evolve their core internal systems. While there is an existing legacy application in place, the focus of this role is on modernising the environment, improving processes, and leveraging the Microsoft ecosystem to build scalable, future-proof solutions. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys bridging the gap between business operations and technology.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Taking ownership of core business systems and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Designing and building solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
- Integrating systems with CRM platforms and wider Microsoft services
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to understand processes and translate them into technical solutions
- Supporting and gradually modernising legacy systems where required
- Managing data and reporting across systems (SQL / reporting tools)
- Ensuring systems are well-documented, reliable and scalable
What They’re Looking For
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
- Strong understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem (e.g. Microsoft 365, integrations)
- Experience working with or integrating CRM systems
- Solid understanding of data and databases (SQL Server or similar)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work directly with non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable taking ownership and driving change
Desirable Experience
- Exposure to VB.NET or experience working with legacy business systems
- Experience with reporting tools (e.g. Crystal Reports or similar)
- Understanding of system migration or modernisation projects
- Familiarity with UI frameworks or front-end components
