This HVAC Engineer role is a brilliant opportunity for a skilled commercial HVAC professional who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys working across varied sites within 1 hour radius of Peterborough. The business delivers commercial installations, refurbishments, maintenance, industrial projects. You will be working across a range of customer sites, supporting the HVAC department with installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance projects, while also assisting other departments when required.
As an HVAC Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking air conditioning and ventilation installation projects as either the lead engineer or supporting engineer, depending on project requirements
- Testing and commissioning HVAC systems to agreed standards, ensuring all work is completed accurately and compliantly
- Installing supplementary HVAC systems including fire/smoke dampers, heaters, controls and associated equipment
- Supporting servicing, maintenance and planned works across commercial and industrial customer sites
- Completing documentation accurately, including timesheets, material lists, risk assessments, surveys, testing reports and commissioning paperwork
As an HVAC Engineer, you will need:
- F-Gas Category 1 qualification and a strong commercial HVAC background
- Experience across installation, commissioning, fault-finding and maintenance
- Basic electrical knowledge for HVAC systems, with experience working on ventilation and ductwork
- Full clean UK driving licence and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- A hands-on, organised and professional approach, with good communication skills and pride in delivering quality work
