Are you an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer looking for a varied, hands-on role where you can work across commercial and industrial sites, carrying out gas, plumbing, heating, maintenance and refurbishment works without a call out rota?

Location: Market Deeping

Salary: £18 - £23/hour + overtime

Benefits: Fully expensed vehicle and fuel card, pension, workwear and PPE provided, 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, with additional long service holiday accrual after five years.

This Commercial Gas Engineer role is a brilliant opportunity for a skilled commercial or industrial facilities professional who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys a variety of work. You will be supporting the Facilities department while also assisting the Mechanical department when required, carrying out remedial repairs, PPM, installations, inspections and compliance-led work across multiple sites.

As a Commercial Gas Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out a wide range of remedial repairs, planned preventative maintenance and refurbishment works across commercial and industrial environments.
  • Diagnosing faults efficiently and undertaking repairs to heating systems, pipework, plant rooms, sanitary ware, pumps, valves and associated mechanical equipment.
  • Installing, maintaining and commissioning boilers, heating systems, plumbing systems and associated plant in line with current industry standards.
  • Completing inspection, testing and compliance activities on both new and existing installations, ensuring work meets Gas Safe, Water Regulations, Building Regulations and company procedures.
  • Accurately completing all required documentation, including commissioning records, test certificates, service reports, job sheets and associated paperwork through company systems.

As a Commercial Gas Engineer, you will need:

  • City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating.
  • Commercial or Domestic Gas qualifications.
  • Full clean UK driving licence, along with personal hand tools and battery drills as a minimum.
  • A hands-on, organised and professional approach, with good communication skills and pride in delivering quality work.
