As a Senior CAM Programmer your responsibilities will include: · Create, develop and optimise CAM programs using Siemens NX CAM software for complex multi-axis CNC machining operations · Define machining strategies for precision components manufactured from Titanium, Inconel, Aluminium, Stainless Steel and other specialist materials · Support New Product Introduction projects from concept through to production, working closely with Production, Engineering and Machine Shop teams · Validate programs using simulation and verification tools, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality machining processes · Select cutting tools, fixtures, feeds, speeds and machining methods to maximise productivity, cycle times and component quality · Troubleshoot machining and programming challenges, mentor junior programmers and support continuous improvement across manufacturing operations As a Senior CAM Programmer, you will need: · Extensive CAM programming experience within a precision engineering, motorsport, aerospace, defence, medical or advanced manufacturing environment · Strong background in 5-axis CNC machining, with proven experience programming complex low-volume, high-precision components · Advanced knowledge of Siemens NX CAM, ideally NX10 or later, with the ability to work from complex engineering drawings and CAD models · Strong understanding of Fanuc-controlled CNC machinery, cutting tools, machining strategies, feeds, speeds and material removal techniques · Experience working with aerospace-grade materials such as Titanium and Inconel, alongside a strong continuous improvement mindset · Excellent communication, problem-solving and leadership skills, with previous experience mentoring or supporting technical teams This Senior CAM Programmer position would suit someone who enjoys solving complex manufacturing challenges, improving machining performance and working closely with the shop floor to deliver high-quality precision components.
